Domestic candidates who have started either the Qualifying Law Degree (QLD), CPE, LPC before the commencement of the SQE, would be able to choose whether or not to qualify under the old route (subject to availability) or to take the SQE. If they take the SQE, they must meet all the SRA requirements (including holding a degree or equivalent and undertaking the requisite workplace experience). The long-stop date for qualification under the old route to qualification is 2032.
