There are two aspects to the QLTS Guarantee: the first for unsuccessful exam takes, and the second for exam deferral.

Unsuccessful exam takes

For candidates who have been unsuccessful in either the SQE1 or SQE2, our QLTS Guarantee provides a safety net.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Failed SQE1 (or FLK1/FLK2) or SQE2 twice during the validity period of their course.

  • Provide an SRA/Kaplan score report evidencing the unsuccessful sittings during the validity period of their course within 14 days after the publication of the exam results.

  • Provide an SRA/Kaplan confirmation evidencing registration for the next SQE1/SQE2 exam within 14 days after booking.

If you meet these requirements, we’ll give you a complimentary extension of your SQE/SQE2 course to attempt the next available SQE1/SQE2 exam that you didn’t pass, completely free of charge.

📢Note: The QLTS Guarantee is valid only once for each part of the SQE course (i.e., FLK1, FLK2, or SQE2).

Exam deferral

We recognise that life is unpredictable, and circumstances may arise that necessitate the postponement of your exam. Whether due to work commitments, personal obligations, or any other reason, QLTS is here to assist you.

If you have not yet taken the exam or if you are ineligible for the unsuccessful exam takes option, you still have the opportunity to extend your course beyond its original validity period at a discounted price.

For SQE1, the extension options are as follows:

  • If your SQE1 course expires immediately after the recent SQE1 exam, you have the option to extend it until the next exam administered by Kaplan. The cost for this extension is £690.

  • If your SQE1 course expires immediately after the recent SQE1 exam, you have the option to extend it until the second exam administered by Kaplan after the expiration of your course. The cost for this extension is £1,290.

  • If your SQE1 course expires one sitting before the recent SQE1 exam, you have the option to extend it until the next exam administered by Kaplan. The cost for this extension is £1,290.

For SQE2, the extension options are as follows:

  • If your SQE2 course expires immediately after the recent SQE2 exam, you have the option to extend it until the second exam administered by Kaplan. The cost for this extension is £690.

  • If your SQE2 course expires immediately after the recent SQE2 exam, you have the option to extend it until the fourth exam administered by Kaplan after the expiration of your course. The cost for this extension is £1,290.

Candidates must provide us with an SRA/Kaplan confirmation showing that they are registered for the SQE1/SQE2 exam within 14 days after booking with Kaplan.

* Extension fees are subject to change at any time.
