You will be subject to a full check on character and suitability when you apply for admission as a solicitor to the SRA (after completing the QLTS assessments).

This means that amongst other checks the SRA will require a certificate of good standing from your home bar/professional/regulatory body.

If you are aware of anything that might prevent you from meeting the SRA requirements and would like an early check on any character and suitability issue you can apply to the SRA at [email protected]. Note that it may take the SRA up to 6 months to assess your application.
