There is no experience requirement or training to complete under the QLTS. Instead, the QLTS uses practical exercises as an objective way of assessing applicants’ ability to practise in England and Wales.
The SRA has drawn on the experience of comparable regulators, such as the General Medical Council and General Dental Council, which use objective structured clinical examinations (known as OSCEs) to test their candidates.
